I've always had this intuition about skeptical theism - surely, God would be great and wise enough to impart his reasons for such evils to the world? However, I think the skeptical theist could argue that perhaps God's reasons for remaining silent can themselves be suspect to skeptical theist responses. I suppose that works, but the theistic hypothesis seems more and more ad hoc by the moment, I'd say.
What do you think of recent arguments by Almeida, Oppy, Maitzen and others that skeptical theism leads to moral skepticism?
